Last post was an example

Of just how out of touch of reality we really are. Do we really care that much of what people think of us, and of what we think of them? Hell just 50 years ago if you tried to talk to anyone they would at least respond with a kind comment/gesture.

There really only one thing that could have made us this way and thats the media. Even since the days of the radio we have been constantly filled with fear that mister Johnson is going to either murder or rape us.

My question is to you, Do you watch TV often or do you even have cable/satellite?

  3. The media certainly has some degree of sway over all of its viewers. It is definitely a valid point to take under consideration.

  4. The media definitely has an influence on these types of things, I'm sure if they never reported all the knife/gang/gun crime that occurs people would think the streets are a lot safer.

  28. Media sucks tbh, only thing media does is to mess people up. Making them afraid of stuff they shouldn't be afraid of and such..

  29. i don't think its the media. i think it's the fear of others and distrust...created by the media.

  30. I rarely infest my brain with that nonsense spouted from the television. I select my programming either through internet surfing (hulu) or through careful recommendation of someone else. So, no.. I have no cable/satellite
